Registration and sponsorship information for the 17th Annual Co-op Classic is now available. This year’s Co-op Classic will be held at Harbor Golf Club and Resort at Elbow on Friday, July 13th. Proceeds raised from the Co-op Classic go towards the Saskatchewan Co-operative Youth Program and the Co-operative Development Foundation of Canada.
Register by June 15th to be entered into the Early Bird prize draw. Deadline for registrations is June 29th.
In special celebration of 2012 International Year of Co-operatives, this year’s Co-op Classic will also feature an IYC Carnival!
The Co-op Classic committee has several different sponsorship opportunities available. Please contact Lara Schroeder, SCA’s Events and Administrative Coordinator at 306-244-3702 or lara.schroeder@sask.coop to discuss these sponsorship opportunities.

October 18-19, 2011 Growing Saskatchewan 2011 Conference
Staff and Board of Directors represented Community Futures Ventures at the second annual Growing Saskatchewan 2011 Conference on October 18 & 19, 2011 in Saskatoon. This event provided networking opportunities along with breakout sessions provided by knowledgeable, creative and engaging keynote speakers that presented on a variety of strategies and initiatives available for economic development.
This two day event was hosted by Community Futures Saskatchewan (CFS) and Saskatchewan Economic Developers Association (SEDA).
October 17, 2011 5 Year Service Award
Shelley Yagelniski, Business Analyst accepted the 5 year Staff Award at the 2011 Community Futures Saskatchewan Annual Conference.
September 27, 2011 Grand Re-Opening Event
We celebrated our new location on Tuesday, September 27th, 2011, cake and refreshments were provided. The staff and Directors of Community Futures Ventures greeted those who stopped by, information on our new products and services was provided. GX 940 AM radio station broadcasted live from our new location promoting our celebration.
In addition we had Big Brothers Big Sisters of Yorkton and Area barbequing hamburgers and hot dogs. All the proceeds from the barbeque will make a difference in some child’s life. Thank you!
